Buckshot is the co-founder of Duck Down Music & the lead MC for Black Moon & Boot Camp Clik. 2010 marked the 15-year anniversary of Duck Down Music. Buckshot has taken that 15-year experience and has crafted a book entitled 'The Common Knowledgy Of The Entertainment Industry.' The book is comprised of three stages. Buckshot first educates readers on the 'Basics' of the entertainment industry providing his definitions for terms associated within the business. Buckshot then transitions to the 'Framework,' or inner-workings of a music label and answers commonly posed questions that he receives from fans & interviewers. In the final stage, Buckshot unveils 'How It All Works,' and illustrates the process of putting the knowledge to use & executing proposed goals.

About the Author
Buckshot is the co-owner of Duck Down Music & lead MC for Black Moon & Boot Camp Clik. He, along with his business partner, Dru Ha, started Duck Down Music in 1995 and has executive-producer credit on the over 3 million records that the label has sold. Buckshot has worked with high-profile names in the industry such as Mary J Blige, the late, great, Tupac Shakur & Aaliyah, Busta Rhymes, Q-Tip,Spike Lee, KRS-ONE, Talib Kweli & more.
Buckshot has created original music for ESPN, HBO, The History Channel, Sony Pictures, Belvedere, Smirnoff, 2K Sports, Activision & Pizza Hut. He has remained active as a recording artists throughout the years with his work alongside grammy-award winning producer, 9th Wonder, and his recent group project with KRS-ONE entitled, 'Survival Skills.'

This a fast read however it's packed with power moves. Only a east coast internationally known artist would have the audacity to relay to the reader most up incoming artist feel as though what I get from them when I Iisten to them there lacking something original they are just looping ideas. Buckshot shows them how to be fresh then to construct ways of doing that as you see fit within frame work of making money and supporting one's music or related music career. Buckshot definitely has a way of simplifying the jungles that is the Hip Hop industry. I enjoyed reading this book and will continue to reference it though out my career.
I respect and appreciate all that was talked about its funny cause i personally met Buckshot in my local neighborhood of Brooklyn,Nyc and he told me to get and understand the book because its useful information i can use since im in the Entertainment Business and that i can only perfect my craft-@GianoCotto
At first I just expected a lot of fluff and nothing of weight. I was actually surprised my how much information was given but HOW SIMPLE and understandable he kept it. Had he used all the big words, I probably would have put the book down.
